Watertown High, in particular, has a clear pattern of punishing kids from minority families at elevated rates.   The data establishing that fact were withheld from the public, but are now available.

Given the staffing information and the testimony of many kids, this should not surprise anyone.

Meanwhile, parents and lawyers of multiple kids have protested the failures of school officials to follow their own rules as well as state and federal laws.   There have been overt violations of both the McKinney-Vento homeless act and the law established under the Supreme Court Plyler v. Doe decision which established that undocumented kids are legal students with the right to be educated.   These are patterns of conduct that simply should not be tolerated.   This isn't just about legality; it's often about cruelty.
